Cupcake Invitations and Fathers Day Cards

 

 

My friend Melanie, wanted to make her own cupcake themed invitations this year for her daughters 2nd birthday party. She asked me if I could help her and we got right to it. It took us about 3 2-3 hour sessions to get the 30 invitations finally fully assembled. I thought they were too cute not to share! :D

She bought a clear cupcake stamp set from Michaels, white cardstock for the base of the cards, and double sided paper for the actual cupcake design on the front, and I supplied the ink for the stamps and the “when, where, RSVP” and front sentiment of the invitations. We had such a nice time making these although it was a bit time consuming! :) I wanted to share so that maybe someone could be inspired to make their own invitations and skip the trip to the department store to find cute ones there. Make your own! Easy and fun project!

 

Happy belated Father’s Day to all the great Dads!!! These are some of the variations of cards I sent out this year, all very simple. :D I used a new stamp set that I got for a STEAL at Big Lots and stamped away on scrap papers. :D I also used diamond stickles on some of the stamps, but I tried not to go too crazy with the glitter to avoid making it too “girly.”
